  • One of my all time favorite movies, but give me a nice crisp black and white version anytime. This colorization is really bad, flesh tomes too pasty.

  • @Mickeymanyhats Just in case you are interested. I also have the Black & White version on my channel!

  • Is this colorized version available in the original aspect ratio instead of the old TV narrow frame?

  • @jtschau I don't think so. It was colorized back in the late 1980's for the television audience at that time.

More than likely it was cropped for TV and then colorized.

  • What's the music at the early beginning? When the screen is black.

  • @LogicSmash Good question. I really don't know the music. I believe it's the end of a TV Commercial just Before the start of the movie.

  • Nice effort shame it goes back to b/w part way through , i must say i prefer the original cut. Still good though. Id love Red River in colour

  • @wirepaladin58 Judging by comments you've made to others, you sound pretty cynical! (There's way too many people like you on here). If I was Republican what would it have to do with watching movies? I don't dislike all colorization, I have seen some good ones, but some classics are just better off left alone. You probably didn't grow up in the black and white era, have no nostalgic feel for it.

  • @Mickeymanyhats Pasty? In your imagination. Crisp black and white? Haha. You sound like one of those old crabapples. who can't stand anything that's different from the past. There are plenty of people writing to Youtube who are like this. You're probably a Republican.

  • I had no idea this abomination existed. All that wonderful monochrome cinematography turned into wishy-washy junk. There should be a law against doing this to one of the greatest movies of all time.

  • Thank you very much for posting this video. You have brought back so many memories. Sitting in the "loges" with Hazel, learning about girls! Lying to my friends later about getting to second base! Waiting for the Doctor was never so painless. You help people more than you will ever know. You deserve all good things...

  • At a little before 1:20 the sound goes out, then comes back in a bit. Great film. I've seen it several times before. Who says movies are better than ever?

  • A CINEMATIC MASTERPIECE ! AN WORK OF ART !
