East Coast Swing isn't true swing. It was created by ballroom associations to compete with Lindy Hop, the original swing dance created in Harlem, which white ballroom dancers thought was too risque.  The dance being done in this video is "West Coast Swing" which is a modern form of Lindy Hop. The danced was developed on the west coast by dancers who kept dancing as music changed from swing, to rock n' roll, to rhythm and blues, to disco, to pop music, which explains the style.

It's called West Coast Swing. It's what happened to the dance as the music changed over the years. If you want original swing dancing, look up Lindy Hop. :-)

Siggy, this is a West Coast Swing performance. They are some of the best west coast swing dancers in the world. It definitely is swing. Please, for the sake of reality, admit that you don't know what you are talking about. For me, this is the best choreography I have ever seen, and I like the music also.
