Are the characters stored privately on their servers, or client side? I don't want the shit that happened on the xbox a second time.

It may be client sided, because most of the game is client sided except for connecting to the servers.

You can't play offline on the PC version though, so I may be wrong. But unable to go offline prevents hackers and cheaters.

how do I download this I played it on on my xbox but I cant get it on my gamecube?

And thanks. :) I tried doing the offline missions on my Dreamcast, but it would hang in the same spot after a few levels :/ Now i can give it another shot. I knew there were efforts, but didn't know the game was running already.

I think it's not really legal because of their copyright on game binaries and designes being infringed technically, but it's certainly not immoral. Also, hey, it's SonicTeam, they probably join in and jam with you once a year or so.
