Very nice aquarium and fishes! Can you tell me what species are that rainbowfish which has silver body and yellow fins? And that one which is half green and half yellow?

Just got a few of these fish. Yours look amazing. What do you feed them? I find it hard to make my rainbows grow. Are they really slow growers?

really nice, I have some young ones hoping they color up the same.

I'm thinking about puting a few of these into a 29 gallon aquarium would 4-5 work?

@trojannemo I can see boesemani, parkinsoni, lacustris, incisus, praecox, however the fish at 31 sec although has some colour similarities to a Goyder River tri is definitely a PNG hybrid of some sort judging by the snout and fin structure. I'd say a hybrid of a herbertaxelrodi (which looks to be getting a genetic renaming as trifasciata but we will have to wait) and an incisus. Having said that the light plays tricks. It could be a herbertaxelrodi.
did you get these fish online or some fish store, cause the only out local fish store has are probly 3 of them but they are a bit different looking

@garljr I bought all my fish in local stores except for a C. bleheri pair that I dont think was shown in that video. Problem with buying these fish, many stores have either hybrids or very young, colorless specimens. You need to make sure you're get a pure line fish, and then give it a good environment at home before they will show their true beauty.

Can you please tell me what species the blue rainbowfish you see at 1:36 is?
I keep them myself along with some boesemani's and a praecox and the shop was pretty poor and couldnt tell me what they were, thanks.

@CotonCandyRobotJuice that fish was a female Melanotaenia lacustris. A pretty good looking, very blue one at that. The male was also in the tank and shown in the video, but he was more green. The beauty of those fish is that their colors change and pulsate when breeding, when happy, when startled...a lot of different times :-)
