My name is Salvatore D'Anna. In May of 2006, I had surgery for kidney cancer. Pacificare denied coverage for this surgery the day before it was scheduled. A few months later, instead of paying for the $65,000 surgery, Pacificare decided to cancel my policy by falsely claiming that I knew I had cancer before I applied for insurance. KTLA News interviewed me as part of their coverage of the DMHC public hearing on the illegal practice of "post-claims underwriting" in violation of California Health and Safety Code § 1389.3 on January 29, 2007.
Those goddam Predatory Private Health Insurance Companies. We need to indict, investigate, & incarcerate each and everyone of those CEO's of each and everyone of these goddam private health insurance companies. Jesus Christ, it's no wonder why the United States is ranked 37th on the planet in healthcare coverage amongst their citizens.
