Rugged construction, high SPL handling in a compact chassis makes the Apex435 an ideal choice for live sound reinforcement or live recording applications. It is also an ideal choice as a utility microphone for home or project studios where performance in required, yet budget is a concern.

The Apex435 uses the same proven capsule and electronics of the popular Apex430, however it is mounted in a lighter, more compact chassis. Its ideal applications can be overhead mic for drum kits, for guitar or bass cabinets where superior sound quality and high sound pressure handling is required. It is also the microphone of choice for saxophones, flutes, brass or woodwinds, acoustic guitars or acoustic bass where subtlety and clarity is paramount.

In live sound applications and remote recording Apex435's cardioid pattern offer excellent feedback rejection and better isolation and will give you the best results on most vocal applications and a wide range of instruments including brass and woodwinds, acoustic stringed instruments, drums and percussion.

The Apex435 is a professional wide diaphragm dual pattern, pressure gradient condenser microphone with an internal -6dB 100Hz low frequency cutoff switch. A 1-inch diameter capsule delivers frequency response is 20Hz to 20kHz with a maximum SPL of 140dB (1kHz @ 0.5% THD). Input sensitivity is -40dB @ 1kHz and signal to noise is better than 73dB. Impedance is 200 ohms and the operating voltage is 48V DC.

  • why do i get so much static when i connect it to my mac but not my pc help plz :(

  • @Mrgonzalez12345339 Try Setting the Gain to The lowest but not all the way down. and the dB level to at least 75% also make sure you plugged the mixer into the right inputs on your PC the MAIN Out to your blue input and the red and white CD Input into your green input on your computer. Also make sure that on the sound properties that Speakers are the default communications device and default device also in recording properties the line in is the default comm device and default device.

  • I really do dislike correcting erroneous information but....the double sided 'grill' isn't to allow pickup from both sides. the Apex 435 has a cardioid polar pattern, ie. its ONE sided. It picks up sound from the front and rejects sound from the back. Try talking into the back of the mic, see it sound as good. To pick up sound from front and back, it would need a Bi-directional pattern and that requires TWO diaphragms, one front and one back.

  • @MrRocque Excellent Clarification, I'm Sorry For My Misinformation.

  • Hey dude, thanks for the review. I actually ordered this mic a few days ago from amazon. I'm mainly going to use it for recording vocals and guitar, but it was a real tough decision for me. I have a feeling that maybe I should have gone with the AT2020. But I couldn't find any reviews that really compared these 2 condenser mics. Hopefully after I try it out I could return it for the at2020. Let me know how yours works out though. Thanx

  • @PCizzle If It Helps, The Audio You Hear is Actually Me Using the Apex 435 if it Sounds Good, The AT2020 is A Kinda Low Sound Microphone and I Had that before This one, This One is Really Clear and Not as Fuzzy Sounding as the AT2020.

I would suggest not using the ground cord. In my case I have the charger "ungrounded" and an extension "grounded". Hope it works.

  • @Mrgonzalez12345339 You have static because the Mac is aluminium based. Try not connect the mac charger or cover the ground pins on the charger itself.

  • Good review.

Another thing tho, your accent, were r u from ? Its giving me hell trying 2 figure it out :P

  • cool mic. I got the Apex 440

  • Hey thanks for the response man. Your audio sounds pretty good. I guess I made the right choice then with the Apex ^_^.
