When the home owner, who was at home at the time of the fire, meets you in the front and says no ones inside, I tend to believe him. As for the number of calls you run, who cares. I looked for your videos, but I couldn't find any. Seems like all the trash talkers have nothing showing us how good they are. Figures.

Now your turn resqcompany. If my explanation of the 3 minutes for the first line in the front and why the fan was there before the handline isn' t sufficient then you must not run many fires. You ever hear of Murphy's Law? Well, Murphy was working overtime that day. As far as a job well done, it could have been better. But, it could have been way worse too. If you've done the job for even a short time, you know like I do that some days you're the monkey and others you're the football.

And as for you andypomeroy, you are the reason I'm replying. I believe you said,"This video is very embarrassing to the fire service." First off, I looked for some of your fire videos and couldn't find the first one. What did you do, read a book and become an expert on fire attack.? As for PPE for everyone, everyone I saw was wearing what was required. I'll make only one suggestion for you and thats impress me. Show us what you've got. It's so easy to talk shit when you don't know whats up.

And chimojavi...we don't do roofs. We also don't run around a house breaking every window to vent either. Thats why PPV works. If you open 1 or 2 places opposite the fan, all the heat and smoke goes out there. Break all the windows and it won't work. As far as cutting holes, yeah, I love tearing shit up like the next man, but why do unnecessary work. We have max staffing of 19 to 23, so no need to kill yourself early.

I have not seen ny infoation on how the fire started? Did the garage catch fire first? How many cars were danaged? As far as the differences in fire fighting lets top all ths figting type talk. There is more than 1 way to fight fires. I was in an exsporer post via the boy scouts for a time and have friends who are ff's in Minn. here in mn. air pack should have been in use while on the porch. All of you FF's Just need to stay safe!! Do that all of you please! Thank you

I love how in all the responses on these videos people act as if they are apart of the best FD in the US! If you were not there and you do not know what the circumstances were ( no fire is perfectly set up upon arrival ) then shut up! This is not a supervised burn, it is an actual call for those of you who have never been on one ; ) Most of you are probably 400lb fools who wish this were you in the video.

One obvious thing I would change when pulling up to a fire scene with obvious signs of fire ( first part of the video heavy black smoke showing) you know your going to need a large amount of water to counter the large amount of fire. Try switching to a 2 3/4 to help knock down the fire outside and proceed with your hand line through the front door. Theres nothing wrong with vollys some day you career boys may be out of a job.

Once again not bad for poorly trained and funded volley dept. also didn't know the fan is a door chock cause that is def too close to opening to be effective. Check the proper recommendations on distance from the opening, also i think the homeowners insurance co. will love you guys fro giving them video of your dept.'s negligence and all the comments both written and in the video( love the curse words describing the owners van!). Def an insurance adjusters dream,lol. genious!

Frankly, I too have been the monkey and the football...things dont alway go as great as you would like...everybody is an expert on some one else's fireground...nice job with good video edit with helmet cam included helped to get better idea what you were dealing with...stay safe....
