F5 tornado that devastated the Hudsonville and Standale, Michigan areas. It was one of three tornadoes to move across southwest Lower Michigan on that day. This tornado killed 18 and injured 340. It first touched down in Vriesland and moved over areas just north and west of Grand Rapids, notably Hudsonville, Standale and suburban areas of Metro Grand Rapids.
