Allsorts Dog Rescue - Poppy the Lurcher So Sad. 9 years old.

WARNING : HAVE A BOX OF TISSUES HANDY BEFORE READING THIS.

Here we have Poppy, she is a Lurcher. She is about 9 years old and she needs a home.
Why ?
Because her daddy is very very ill in hosptal and probably won't be coming home. She is currently in a foster home, and the first picture shows her in her basket curled up with one of her dads slippers. She sleeps with that slipper all the time as it still smells of him.
Poppy spent almost all of her life with him, she ate with him, went out with him and slept curled up close to where he slept. Its little wonder she looks so sad. Her whole world has been turned upside down and we have no way of explaining to her that it WILL be allright.
That is to say, it will be allright if someone can find it in their heart to give Poppy the old age she deserves.
She is living with a few other dogs and gets on well with them. She plays well with a couple of the younger ones and LOVES her walks and playing in the park. She is extremely sweet and friendly and loves a reassuring stroke and cuddle. She eats well and otherwise is fit. At her age it will be difficult to get insurance for her. Which given the governments plans to force insurance on all dogs should make everyone with a dog sit up and take notice !
