This is Tube City Iron and Metal in West Mifflin, PA. This scrap yard is located at Mifflin Yard, the Union Railroad's connection with the Wheeling and Lake Erie. Three locomotives work here. Firstly, we see ex-URR #566, and SW1200. Despite the fact that Tube City has painted most of its hood gray, its past is obvious due to the blue paint as well as the faded circle where the URR herald was. Next we see another SW1200. This one is from one of the USS mills. Not shown in this video is ex-URR #469, an SW1, which isn't often visible from this vantage point, the top of the hill behind a doctor's office. Besides some maintenance of way equipment, not much was going on when I filmed this on February 13, 2009.
How did you get permission to go in there? I would love to see this!

That is an old Loco. Ours at Tube city IMS in Cayce is a 60's model. We only have 1 and we are not union. We have 2 tracks at CSX where we switch and have to follow FRA regulations.
