@hawg427 Not the original poster - I have an HD-28V for about 10 years now. Love it. Tone from HD-28 to HD-28V is different but that difference is subtle. 28V a bit louder and more bass. V Neck wasn't a problem for me at all.  Felt very good first time and still feels good. I also play Strats and LP's with very thin necks and going back to the 28V feels like coming home after a long trip. hope this helps you.

@TheNewDread Did you get your HD-28V yet? How does it compare to the HD-28? Tone & ease of play. Did it take long to get used to the Modified V neck? Everyone says it is louder than the HD-28?

How much tone difference is there between this & the HD-28? Did it take much to get used to the Modified V neck? Last one...Is there much overall loudness difference between this and the HD-28? I was told the V is much louder because of the forward shifted bracing. I've got enough saved up for the HD-28 but I'd have a tad more to go with the V model. LOL
