Again though the book is English/British. In a lot of people's opinion the movie was simple and good due to the book/movie being set in an English plot. The Japanese just had to much drama in their voices, not enough passion to be set in. In anime, I would agree they are well fit for those voices, far better than most english dubs. But for something set for an original English/British moment, it just doesn't fit.
seriously. the english is better by far, not just the name. And the actors who voice these character have to much drama in them. As for the name I would have liked The Golden Compass or Northern Lights.
Dude... Where can I find this version?! It'd be so kick to see this with a Japanese dub and English subs, heh! Word @ Lilaznelf, the Japanese are really the best when it comes to voice-acting, so boo-hoo if you happen to not like it.
Lyra sounds like Maka from Soul Eater
Serafina Pekkala sounds like Mie Sonozaki or Maaya Sakamoto
Master sounds like Chikao Otsuka
