Here is a clip of the Auroras on the third night we were there... You may want to watch in a darkened room (too see it better) and if you are getting boarded start about 1:40 min in. This is VERY close to real time, something not that common to see in Aurora videos. ps. it was around -15 to -20 degrees plus windchill, think about that as you sit and watch. • Is this the substorm of March 23, 2007 ?

  • It was a night from march 15-20, 2007, I'd have to check my tapes to see which night it was. By the 20th though it was dying down. Best, g.

  • Man, I can't believe how few and far between the real-time vids of Aurora Borealis are. This is a five-star video for sure! Thank for putting this up. I've always wanted to get an idea of what it looks like.

  • Oh....my....GOOOOOD! She's adorable!!! (can i call this phenomenon 'she'? Aurora was the name of the ancient Roman goddesss, heheh)

  • thats great to see it in real time, finally :D

i had always wondered how fast they moved, just like a bright cloud, thankyou :)

  • Awesome!! Yes, it is rare to see these lights in real time video. I know it's neat to see them sped up but when you've never seen them in real life, it would sure be nice to see how they move in REAL time, not sped up! Thank you for sharing this. I did not find it boring at all! :)

  • So beautiful! I'm going there in May this year? Do you think we will see much? :)
