After 2 crashes The cularis flew. Motor used, TR 35-48-B 900kv Brushless Outrunner Eq: AXi 2826 (Sorry I listed the wrong motor on video.) Used all hobbycity D-MG16 medal servo on wings after striped 4 sets of hs55 and 58. A Turnigy TG-380 Aeroplane Gyro for roll. Also a 40amp ECS TowerPro L40-acro 40Amp Brushless Speed Controller.
Gyro are not needed for days that wind is low but can be helpful on windy days. One thing I notice on landing. After dialing up the gyro it make the landing more enjoyable and controllable. BEC 10amp for servo. White duct tape for belly, Color Duct tape for wings, It helps to keep the wing from ripping in bad landing in bushes. (Done that did that.)

  • @azsxdc731 problem with the motor mount ist that it's only a slim piece of plastic. If you do not use a stabilized aluminium mount the motor is going to vibrate very badly. I have 11,1 V 3200mAh and a motor with 42A current. Drag is about 2,1 Kg and I can go up to 100m for about 10 times. Flighttime can be 20 to 40 min.

  • Videos fool you- Motor gliders when owned are boring as hec- Use a high launch= 34 years exp.

  • I think its cause your prop is busted.

  • I have got a 4000mha lipo and fpv gear on mine gives you about half anhour with 1/2 throttel

  • Nice.....:-) I used to go flying, and i really enjoyed it, until i started to learn about ChimTrails and every other second saw a plane pissing down on us!!!?

It was so Frustrating that i gave it up all together, What is more frustrating is that

most people no nothing about it....!!?

  • it was flying good

  • Can i have Q?. If i have arcus sport i would like ot put same gyro for wondy days but you have Y cable for ailerons? I am using separate channel for control - butterfly or crown braking.

    So i need two gyro??

Thanks for answer for your setup.

  • Serafin,

Put the brake on the esc. it will fly much better without the prop turning when the motor is off. When trimmed correctly it will fly almost by it self forget about the Gyros.

  • Hi Serafin, Whats with the Gyro you mentioned. Thought that was more of a helicopter thing. How does it work.

Well done on keeping at it. Have you tried a loop yet?

  • I love how you are able to figure out WHY things went wrong and do the RIGHT things to make it better and it works!

These videos will help other guys to do the same. Great work man, fun to watch!
