his sing is the reason I spent a lot of money on a Steel biscuit bridge resonator... .I wish I could afford a 1937 Type-O National..........

versione emozionante, con un Mark particolarmente ispirato anche nella voce

Love the sound of the dobro. And Knopfler is one of the greatest guitarists of all-time.
-
@frostedhead why do you care? It's a beautiful song. It's their choice to play it yes/no.

"You said I'll Love you like the stars above, I'll love you till I die"
Best line ever written for a romantic song!!!
Lol The song remains remains the same even after all these years, Shakespeares message was the same as it is today only translated in modern English, for all you broken hearted lovers out there keep your peckesr up, love will find your way if you WANT it.....that I can promise

@laggie24
it's inspired by Shakespeare's work in name only, This song was inspired by Mark Knopfler's broken romance with Holly Vincent, who was the leader of the band Holly And The Italians; Holly Vincent was quoted as saying: "What happened was that I had a scene with Mark Knopfler and it got to the point where he couldn't handle it and we split up." so the scene is a public emotional display, not a scene from a play or a movie.
Knopfler felt she used him to boost her career.
