Ca me parait trés vrai ce qu'elle dit sur les années 80 et je retrouve en Yelle ce coté cool et joyeux avec plein d'originalité et de liberté qui a marqué la musique des 80.

She loves the 80's because she has grown up during those years. She inspired of "Les Rita Mitsouko", "Lio" because she loved the liberty the artists would take graphically, musically speaking. She explains that people tried to use new forms o sounds and of cloting way. She works with French and Belgian creators and she especialy loves to have fun when she is creating and wearing clothes. At the end, she adds that she ALWAYS choose her clothes for her concerts.

She says that her name was firt "YEL" (You Enjoy Life) but sh had to change it because it was already the name of a belgian band. So she added "LE" to feminise it and then, she noticed that it also could be the combination of "Yeah+Elle".

At the begining she asked to make the first part of Mika's concert but she thought she wouldn't have been selected. And she has. She even did all the tour. She says that it was a very good experience and that her and Mika became friends.
