Why intake manifold vacuum is less than ideal for connection directly to HHO electrolyzer.

  • I think that you are correct about this. That is why I think you get better gas mileage when your car is run in cruise control at a constant speed verses city driving. Nice video this is valuable information keep up the good work. Does putting the hho make more sense going thru the air intake verses the trying to put it in the intake manifold?

  • I think so. That way the plenum or carbeurator butterfly can still be used to regulate engine output by regulating how fast air is drawn in with the HHO. The cell will be held at fairly constant vacuum by the pump. Gas production regulated by a PWM connected to a throttle pot.

  • Hello ZFF, great job!...is your gauge showing vacuum from the intake manifold (engine side of the throttle body) or is it made using your venturi device?...keep it up!

  • HA! The venturi? I WISH! The venturi produces a max of 1"Hg (13.7" H20) @WOT, 6000RPM on my 2.2L 4-banger. Even still that's a very good vacuum signal from a venturi. It could be used to pull a water mist from a float bowl to aid in combustion cooling if I ever need it, but I don't think I will.

    ICE on 100% H2O is coming. BELIEVE IT!

  • You need a small pressure tank in between the cell and the car engine . If you want to run the car on HHO only your entire cell system needs to handle some very high PSI's and have a 1 gallon pressure tank as a stream buffer. It's just an idea.

  • Ah yes, CarbideTip. This is in part what inspired my current experiments with one critical difference - I will measure the effect on production by measuring the production itself.

  • Seems that the more vacuum you pull the less power is required. Using a vacuum makes sense as it lowers the vapor pressure -- just like a pressure cooker raises the boiling point(or a car radiator)..Looking forward to more zff
