You know, Jonas is so very honest.
He never feigns anything. Not a stereotyped humble and routine 'thank you all....'.
A real artist.

Yes,technique is only a tool. But you can't sing well without it. And he - excluding Walkure and Lohengrin,for now- sings badly. Following "heart of people" also Bocelli should be a great tenor.
I am just sad because if he can win such an award, opera is in bad while indeed.

@MisterPapageno: Technique is only a tool. It may set the ability to perform for many and a few years but it will never be the thing that moves people's hearts. Being awarded this award means that the audience prefers timbre and interpretation on stage to technical perfection. Other great singers did not have the best possible technique but were admired too. Think of Lanza, diStefano and others.

Aunque el chiste es un "Deja vu" nos damos cuenta que estamos ante un hombre sencillo, natural y sobretodo autentico y real , con un toque ingenuo (naive) que potencia su carisma. El es la antitesis del divo...Grazie a Dio ..!

No matter his joke is a "Deja vu", at the first time we realized the man is not a divo....Thanks God!....On the contrary he is real , natural and above all he seems to be a friendly foot on earth man , with a litle naive touch crowning his great carisma.
