Marathi Stars

This is a video taken by yours truly, when I went to Shivaji Park for a book festival organized by MNS.
People in the clip are, Rajsaheb, Babasaheb Purandare, Sachin Tendulkar with his wife & Sonali Bendre.

The poem in this video clip has become very popular, and by demand I am putting the full poem here.

एका सम्राटाचे हृदय एकदा त्याला म्हणाले.
शास्त्रक्रियेसठी मला उघडले तेव्हाही कुणा नाही कळले.

माझ्या आत दोन्हीना स्थान तुम्ही दिलेत सारखेच
पण मग एकाला दिलेत लाडू मोठे तर दुसर्याला पेढे बारकेच.

सम्राट म्हणाला हसून, असे दोघेही माझा जीव की प्राण
एक उंच करारी धनुष्य तर दुसरा तेजस्वी बाण.

सम्राटाचे हृदय ते गप्प कसे बसणार
ठरवले होते त्याने आज सोक्षमोक्षच लावणार.

लाखो लोकांच्या अपेक्षा म्हणे काढल्यात तुम्ही मोडून
धनुष्य धरले छातीशी आणि बाण दिलात सोडून.

परिस्थिती अशी होती हृदया की तुझा आदेशही मला मोडावा लागला
धनुष्याची दोरी इतकी कूरकूरली की बाण मला सोडावा लागला.
