@Torque1974, you caught me...But doesn't all 80's songs do this to us?
You know the great 80's when we had still had good music with even better performers.
An era where music was more than swearing, cursing and offence other people.

Great tune!

@Jwb52z Jeez...not as heart breaking as your stupid comment! (Hint - this song is not supposed to be taken seriously)
-
omg all this (blahblah) for nothing it's just like poetry that can say something profound with the lightness and this is the mainpoint .... thank you to the music for this ....

*i'm happy when i this see

i'm happy when thois see

@Jwb52z thats exactly what I'm saying. but you used the word domestic abuse which usually means physical.
-
@DUNKYDOOBS I am not pessimistic. It's just what the words themselves sound like. Also, domestic abuse doesn't always mean physical abuse purely.
-
@Jwb52z maybe it is foreshadowing but that doesn't mean it for sure is. you're just a very pessissmistic person who hears about a girl in a bad relationship and automatically assume she's getting beat up

@52barney Jewish is both an ethnicity and a religion.
Doesn't Happy-Guy-Dancing just make you happy? Bestest song ever. You cannot listen to it without tapping your feet with a big silly smile on your face!

I admit to not reading all the posts to this clip, but I've always loved this song. I wonder if the only reason this song got played was the upbeat tune to it because I don't think people were talking much about domestic violence in the early 1980s. When you listen to it, it's really heart breaking to hear about a woman who can't leave her abusive boyfriend.
