my deepest condolences to you and your family. David is a huge inspiration to me, he was an artist, a musician and poet like no other.

There is no band like Woods of Ypres. Perhaps he will inspire many to create wit their heart and not for financial benefit. He left us beautiful music to remember him by.

Thanks for telling us what happened Esther as little information was released to the public. My heart goes out to you.

On Dec 21st, I received the message" Mom, I am on my way home..." We had family plans to celebrate the holidays in the USA with the family. Hours later an officer was at my door to tell my my son had been killed in an accident on the highway near Barrie......We miss David....thank you to all who appreciated his music. I just discovered this band today and I'm blown away. The sheer emotion in these songs is moving, so intense. Brings tears to my eyes, tears of sadness, and of appreciation. I don't think music has ever hit me like this before. RIP David Gold, you were a true musician and poet.

never has anyone or anything made me actually want to cry. this is some of the most soulful music i have ever heard. and to Esther, im terribly sorry for your loss and im sorry that your son was not as well know as he should have been. your son brings feeling out that i havent felt from any music made in the last 15 years....hell...let alone any music at all. he was a god amongst men and shall be remembered

Dear Everyone, Bereavement is not a condition that we get over, or feel better in time. For all who miss David, I hope you do miss him forever. Many know David for his Music. Some had opportunity to connect with him and experienced some of his other dimensions. Michael, David's brother and sisters Laura and Marie and I, daily, struggle as we try to adjust to life with out David. Truly, this void , I feel can never be filled. David was deeply loved by everyone who knew him. Even people that didn't know him personally have felt a connection to him. Something (maybe everything) about him was magical. Phenomenal even. What an extremely sad loss. "We didn't spend our lives together, and I will miss you forever....." I really do miss you Dave.
