Bush and Chavez on Washington and Bolivar

such divisive language, used by Politicians to create patriotic fervor against the U.S. In truth both men were as Pres. Bush said, great liberators of their country, George Washington was the first ever military victor in history who refused the crown and was wary of being President too long. I believe history will see both Pres. Bush and Pres. Chavez in both positive and negative lights. No need to create such tension.

Let me tell you something. I read the bios of all the leaders and unlike you I am not blind to their faults. Washington at least brought order out of the chaos, unlike Bolivar who helped foment the chaos and later said that to bring order was like plowing the sea.
Most of Bolivar's co-revolutionaries either died in disgrace or exile or violently. Most of Washington's who survived the war died in their beds surrounded by family. That says who was ultimately more successful.

man don't talk if what you don't know honestly. You don't know honestly... and i don't say cuz of chavez but cuz of Bolivar and Francisco..

Chavez seems to ignore Bolivar's betrayal of Francisco de Miranda, the massacres of Spanish troops and Loyalists by his orders, the wholesale slaughter of Indian villages, imprisonment of political opponents, and his refusal to give mulattoos a voice in the regimes.
Before he did he said it was like sowing the sea. Well it was a chaos he helped to foment.
This does not in any way diminish from the greatness of both men. Both men were human and had their failings but overcame it to become great leaders of the Americas. Both the "Father of His Country" and "El Libertador" are well-recognized as the great ones through history. Both men were products of their time, aristocratic and class-conscious, but rose beyond it to make better opportunites for all classes.
!Viva Washington y Viva Bolivar!
!Abajo Bush y abajo Chavez!
