Edna McGill - Why are you running for Superintendent?

I am supporting Edna McGill for superintendent of the Lowndes County School District. The district has improved in so many ways over the last 3 years. Test scores for all 9 schools in the district are up. Edna has worked with community organizations to bring in 1.4 million dollars in grants and has another 2 million in the works. This money means extra resources and support for students and teachers. She started a GED program to... help reduce the dropout rate. She led the district to become accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS)-the first time for all schools to become accredited.

This district is respected around the state and is on the way to being the best in the state. Businesses want to come here and that gives us jobs. To help keep Lowndes County School District moving upward, and to be sure all of our children get the very best education elect Edna McGill for Superintendent. I'm voting for her!
