  • @desasterz God give's us free will to choose Him and when we repent we are turning from sin to follow him.So, yes God could force us but, he give's us free will. And in choosing him we have guidelines we must follow.

  • God is a very very merciful God. Remeber how God pronounced judgement against Niniveh?

And when they repented after ther preaching of Jonah GOD relented and had mercy. No matter what a person has done in this life. My name is Jonas :) if you think you have committed this sin please write to me at joray@gmx.ch

  • @dclark3062

I don't think so... if you can still recognize sin in your life you are not beyond redemption. I hope you are in a better place now... praying for you!

  • I disagree. I believe Jesus is speaking of types of sin. He is talking about mortal sin. It only takes one unrepented mortal sin to enter into hell. That is a sin unto death. Other than that I do agree with the fact that habitual sin is harder to turn away from because people get used to it until they don't realize it's wrong or no longer have the willpower to change.

  • @desasterz see luke 13:3 and 5... Jesus commanded men to repent... he did not command God to make them repent. Hope this brings light.

    God Bless!

  • sin unto dead is when GOD take your live is not talking about salvation read the bible better pipper

  • I'm not sure I agree with Piper on this one but I can't say I understand the verse myself. I recall somewhere in the bible Paul speaking of sin bringing death. The first kind of death but not the second. Where it has been explained to me that when someone with salvation sins so much and does such damage to the church and mission of Christ that God kills them to remove them from the fight. I wonder if these to verses are related somehow. Can someone remind me where that verse is located please???

  • Sin is the worst thing imaginable and is to be avoided at all costs. The worst thing anyone can do is treat sin as if it was cigarettes thinking that one day they will smoke no more and that it's only cigarettes. A person, especially a believer should never let sin be a part of their life. Nothing is more serious and more damaging that what sin does because the wage of sin equals death and death equals eternal damnation and the weight of sin is more heavy than anything imaginable.

  • I dissagree, repentance is the work of God... God can make you repent whatever.
