This a dinosaur. Like a 286 computer. Google 'golden motors' and you'll see quite amazing advances in this technology, not to mention HUGE price reductions. Take a look at their 'magic pie' motor. No, I'm not kidding. Only the Chinese. But you can DIY &fit their hub motor to your own bike. But do a LOT of research first.
Check out their forum, see what their customers are saying. I have, and I'll buy a 'Golden Pie' when they release that model.
shity motor 250 watt so no torque and shity 10 ah battery so you can not go more then 7 mile on hill and flat if you lucky 12 miles without pedaling depend of your weigth . for 1400$ you can have far better electric kit you can adapt to you own bike look my video. if you plan to ride 6 mile a day (6 miles to go and come back) it's the only thing you can do with this izip bike
Those nice aluminum welds are for strength, wht cut a square hole in the frame for a switcth??? Jet airplanes widows are oval for a reason, inside corners are weak and will propogate cracks...
I am in England and have been trying to buy a izip urban cruiser for about 6 months, no one can get them here, everyone puts a picture of them on their websites and when you try and buy them they say they are out of stock and then they try to palm you off with something else.
Excellent integration of batteries and components - not ugly like other electric bikes. Hey, any chance you can help get electric bikes legalized in New York state? Yes, I know our state is always behind all the other states. Our state leaders have no idea what the word progressive means.
It was passed in January 2008. As long as you have pedals, do not go over 20 mph and the motor is less than 1000 hp, you are safe to use electric bikes the same places you would use regular bikes. Unfortunately, you have to be over 16 as well. Prior to that it was stupid, classifying them as toys, so you couldn't take the bikes out of your drive way.
