  • The announcer may be a little too "Voice of God" for li'l kids, but this is wonderful.

  • @stickdog100 I have a 1957 Allis Chalmers WD45 with 56 hp, will drag my 300hp 3/4 ton RAM backwards like it's nothing.

The engine was drawn in red, like a fire truck, because when this was written most things were drawn in red, blue, yellow, green. orange was a very uncommon color, unlike nowadays where orange is a cheap substitute for red.

  • Keep in mind that this book was written in the early 1900's, when horsepower was rated differently than it is today. I read this and Mike Mulligan to my mother's first grade class when work is slow.

  • why red why not ornge wish i had the book sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo badly

  • 55 horsepower may not be a lot in the grand scheme of things, but I bet it sounds like a whole lot to a 6 year old lol

  • 55 horsepower isnt very much for a tractor.
