Don't be scared. Make sure you are comfortable with your surgeon though. Don't just take the first person you find. Find out their success rates, and make sure they have a post surgery program! The surgery itself is just a tool, the whole process is a lifestyle. Support groups afterwards really help.
Don't be scared, just make sure you get as much information as you can prior to surgery and ask EVERY question you have :)
