I'm playing one of rock's best songs, Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin. I did this song on a les paul, and i know, i'm supposed to play it on a double neck but i don't have one. Ok a few definite areas to improve on, which I'm sure you're more than aware of, but let me just say that you shouldn't be scared to really use the sustain that beauty is capable of. I've got one myself, and it's something I'm working on as well. But it's a clear weakness in your performance that you don't hold those essential, emotive notes.

Otherwise, well done for sticking it out.

Stairway is not a distortion song. I think one of my sisters friends told me that Jimmy like took out a distortion crucialy important part of his amps, It made his playing sound better
