If they were green we would be commandos you mong its maroon to show were better than all the rest and nack any craphat that says otherwise, para's have the nickname "red devils" so if the enemy were that good to spot the maroon machine they would shit there kegs and run off and know not to come back

Surely their red berets would not offer much camouflage out in the field. What a silly idea. They would be easily seen and shot at. Should be green berets

In the last episode they mention one of the paras featured went awol and joined the french foreign legion, in one of andy mcnab's books he mentions someone he served with in the sas who has a remarkably similar history of going awol and joining the legion and subsequently going awol from them and passing sas selection.

Brilliant series, my dad was in the paras and hopefully i will be in them one day. They should do a series of it today showing the way they train now unless its exacly the same but im not sure.
