Why isn't it? Who are you to say what is "proper" photography and what isn't? I have a feeling you have never even been anywhere near a camera that nice or near a photographer as skilled as this guy.
@Olysses the 30fps is done using three camera at 10fps each. if ur rich enough, you can even do 60fps or higher, than make slow motion movie with thoses pictures...hummm...

The cameras are all at slightly different angles so each one will look slightly different.
Your camera does video, the EOS 1D Mk III doesn't do video, instead it shoots at ten sequential frames per second.
