Peter Jackson's pictures, Ralph Bakshi's soundtrack from 1978, my cut. See it in HIGH QUALITY!!!
"Helm's horn - The end."
Isn't it amazing!? How the tower and building of the Hornburg is changing appearance from scene to scene in this part? It almost looks like the black gate of Mordor sometimes... Anyhow!
We can all see in the end - after a very long preparation for Gandalf to appear - that they are still at Helm's deep. Don't think anything else.
The end credits are meant to be a serious attempt to honour the makers of both original movies. All names are genuine. All but one; the creator of this "Fan's cut". Thank you for watching and reading, and good by!

  • Very well done! I admit that I've never seen the Bakshi version before, but this has inspired me to go see it when I get the chance. I'm quite certain it won't be anywhere near as good as the Jackson version, which are my favorite movies, and I know now it's got a horrible ending, but it should be entertaining to watch, just as this was. Thank you for making this.

  • @TheOneGuy1111 Thank you for your comments! It was funny to do, and it´s allways nice to read that people are fond of my works. :-)

  • If you do do something like this with The Return of the King, what footage will you show for Bilbo's 129th Birthday party scenes?

  • @AsiaPhoenix2008

Sorry, I don't understand the question. What 129th birthday party, when, were? In the book, they mention the party at Rivendell, but in the movie, there is only one scene with Bilbo at that age (or even older; 131 or 132 y.o.) when they leave Middle earth in the end.

  • Why does it show places other than Helm's Deep?

  • @AsiaPhoenix2008

My project was to try to combine Bakshi's sound with Jackson's pictures, what so ever. There's a very long part (1.30 to 4.00) of fighting and surrounding by the enemy. There's not so many cuts from Helm's deep in Jackson's movie, so I had to use what I could from his three movies, just to fill up the time of sound.

  • Same here! Ralph Bakshi should've made a part 2!

  • This was amazing! Great job! The ending of Bakshi's movie always made me mad. It basically says that the battle Helm's Deep somehow drove the forces of evil out of Middle-earth forever...ignoring Sauron and the Ring of course. Even though I was never a really big fan of Bakshi's version, I've always wished he got to finish part 2. And it's sad that the Return of the King that came out a few years later didn't even pick up where his left off...and wasted half the movie with ridiculous songs.

  • @Mooseboy018 @Mooseboy018 i made an edit that simply sends the narration back to hell, and swaps the endings instead of showing Frodo going to Mordor to the original ending,it shows them winning the battle of Helms deep first THEN it shows Frodo going to Mordor, which makes the ending look more like''yeah, it's going to have sequel''

  • @raimat66 In the beginning of The Return of the King animated movie it shows Bilbo with his relatives and friends celebrating his birthday and he falls asleep and then wakes up and asks Frodo about his finger.

  • Maybe when the live action version of The Hobbit is released you could sinc it with the audio from the 1977 cartoon.

  • I LOVE THAT SONG!!!! :D

And some of the other songs on their own are ok, but they just stop the movie dead in its tracks every 5 minutes.
