PaddleQuest 2011 Dynasty: MKE, MPLS and STEVENS POINT!

PaddleQuest is a paddle-based adventure challenge that brings canoers, kayakers and paddle boarders into a world of treasure hunting, games and exploration. In its tenth year, the event is expanding to the Minneapolis Lakes Nokomis and Hiawatha and the Milwaukee Cross Town Passage. The ultimate challenge is to be held in Stevens Point, WI on The Backwaters of the Wisconsin River.

PQ MISSON: To advocate paddle sports and organize conservation efforts within a community of adventure and imagination.

PaddleQuest is set in an evolving world wherein the actions of the participants affect the outcome of the story. During the quest, players seek out characters to obtain treasure maps, alternate games and other tasks that earn the teams points. The team with the most points wins and is declared the "Protector".

There are four classes: Canoe Coed team of three, Canoe team of two, Kayak and Stand up Paddle boarder (SUP).

The event is also held as a conservation effort. In the new urban locations and Stevens Point, teams will be gathering trash along the way and be rewarded at the end based on the amount of trash they collect. PaddleQuest also raises funds for a non-profit in the area. In Stevens Point the event benefits and promotes the Boy's and Girl's Club; In Milwaukee the event is being held as fundraiser and promotional event for the Milwaukee River Keeper.
