    damn dude you know how to have fun with cars huh? hahahaha.. i have something to look save up for now... ive been trying to look up most of these parts and having trouble finding them. how do i go about looking for them? like should i go to a small local auto parts store and ask for them or should i go on summit racing? i also been looking at rebuilding kits..

  • @bearkid4u there is a bit of certain things that a street car needs other then race cars.you have to remember a street car needs to make torque at low and mid rpm range not top revs. under 510. lift and your fine. a 302 would fit fine in your car!! 302s are the same size as a 289s wich came stock in falcons and comets. no fitment issues at all. you can build a 350hp 302 for under $4.200. actually a 575 carb is best for a 289/302 even a 600cfm carb would be best on a 331 or even the 351.

  • @1962Galaxie514ciMPFI never stroke a 302 to a 347 for street cars, only a 331!! the piston doesnt intersect the oil ring on the piston, wich in turns consumes more oil as a 347 will. 350hp is easy for a 302 with out stroking it. ford racings E303 cam and lifters, Trickflow street butner intake 19lbs injectors flat top piston on a 60cc chamber will be about 9.4;1CR edelbrock performer RPM 170 heads 70mm throttle body. or for a carb 302 all that mention with a dual high rise intake and 600cfm carb

    that's something i would do, i'd save up for the biggest cams i could find. i figured the bigger the better hahahaha. i guess theres a more to street performance than i thought.. hahahaha 331 stroker would be pretty sweet in my car, i just looked up videos right now on that engine.i think it would fit pretty easily in there.. OH HELL YES! tell me more about 350 horsepower!

  • @bearkid4u haha, ok somewhat mild but i did build it for sreet practicality, unlike so many other guys using big cams, not a good idea!! i have to run power disc brakes so too big a cam i would need a vacuum canister and thats something you really dont want on a street car. i want a 64 or a 63 falcon so bad i would put a 331 stroker efi motor in it and a 5 speed that would be a fun little car!! if you want i can tell you what parts you should use for your 302 touchin 350hp without a stroker?

    mild? Mild???? not even dude your 504 horsepowers like a dream incomparison to my possible 50hp in my 64 falcons 302. I've always wanted to do stuff like that to a classic car but i was brought up and raised on bodywork. its done on the body i just don't know where to start with the engine and i didn't really know where to begin on my galaxy..

  • @bearkid4u its maroon the cam is a comp-cams computer friendly custom grind street only cam, i think it was 490. 510. lsa114. 276duration. i cant remember but something like that. 85mm throttle body and elbow on edelbrock rpm intake with 40lbs injectors. trickflow powerport 290 heads no work just right out of the box install. i think it made 504hp and near 590ft lbs trq. on 9.6:1 cr. mass airflow ecu. mild setup but it gets my 3850lb galaxie movin real good.
