  • almost sounds exactly as rv 428

  • @MrAsc0001 RV90 is indeed very similar to rv428. The most important difference is that RV90 was originally scored was for rec., oboe, violin, bassoon and B.C. The 2nd mov'ts of both versions are identical. The 1st movt of RV90, however, is lacking the beautiful upward arpeggios in the flute part at the beginning and the 3rd mov't is longer with additional thematic material and a longer introduction and recapitulation. Since this recording, I've admittedly always opted for performing rv428.
