Stop the World:Chapter 8

Nick's POV
Joe wanted to stay at Arianna's after the movie so I just volunteered to walk home. She only lived like 2 blocks from us, so it isn't a long walk. Plus it was a really nice night too. By the time I got to my house Mikayla had just got home too. That Taylor guy had driven her home. I quietly walked into my house and ran up to my room. Through my window I had a good view of her entire porch including the front door. I saw them talking, then there looked like there was a pause, then he just leaned in and kissed her. I wanted to look away, but I couldn't. She was kissing him back. My heart broke. Then she said something, they both smiled, and she said something else, he replied and they kissed again, and she walked into her house. I could see the huge smile on his face as he walked back to his car. That just made my heart break again. She was putting a smile on another guys face. I wish she knew he wasn't the only one who smiled because of her. I can't help but think maybe now is not the right time to tell her how I feel. She clearly likes him, and I don't want to ruin it for her. She is happy, and I want her to stay like that.

Mikayla's POV
I cannot believe that just happened. I really hope this wasn't a dream because I really don't want to wake up from it! Taylor is such a great guy. He is super sweet, a gentleman, and for a jock not a jerk at all. Plus he is super good looking. He is tall, tan, has muscles, and a gorgeous smile! What more could I ask for? I could ask for Nick, who is everything I want and more. But he is taken, and I don't now if he likes me. Taylor does like me, and I like him. I couldn't wait to call Selena. Out of all my friends, she is the one I usually go to first for guy advice, or the one to talk about a boy first. She was the first one I went to during my first crush and heartbreak. She was even the first person I ever told when I first started liking Nick. And I was the same with her. It was our special bond. I dialed really fast. "Hey Mikayla!" she answered happily. "Hey Sel! I have something amazing to share! I have to give you a play-by-play of what happened." "Go ahead I wanna hear this!". Then I give her the entire story. "OMG! That’s so great! So this obviously means he's totally into you!" she said excitedly. "Yeah, and I'm really into him too." I said. ''I'm so happy for you Mikki!" I could tell she was, she used my nickname. "Thanks Sel, but I still can't help thinking about Nick. I still really like him." "I know you do, but you have to put it this way, Taylor L. really likes you and you like him, and Nick is still with Miley. Maybe this means that you and Nick aren't meant to be right now. So Taylor L. was brought to you because you and hAim are supposed to be together." She's right. "Like you've always told me if something is meant to be, then it will figure its way out to actually happen." "Exactly." she said. "Thanks so much Sel. I feel a lot better." I told her. It's is true it did help. "No problem Mikki, I'm gonna let you go so you can tell the rest of the girls. Goodnight!" "Night Sel!" After that I called Demi. "You guys kissed didn't you?!" was the first thing she said. "Um, Hi Demi. And yes we did how did you know?" I asked. "I knew it was going to happen. You should see the way he looks at you! It's like you are his dream girl!" I blushed. Me someone's dream girl?! Yeah. Right. "So are going to let me tell you how it went down?” "Yes go ahead!" she was so excited for me. After Demi, I called Tay. "So how was the rest of your night with Taylor L.?!" was the first thing she said. I gave her the story too. "Aww! It was like something out of a movie! You guys looked so cute together. He better not break your heart or he will have to go through me, Demi, and Sel." she said the last part half-jokingly. After I called Tay I called Sarita. "Hey Sarita!" "Hey Mikayla! So how was your night?" I gave her the story too. "That’s great! You're really lucky. I wish I can meet someone!" she said. "Don't worry, you’ll find someone that will love you for who you are!” "Thanks! I’m gonna go to bed I'm super tired. See ya later!". ''Later." I then tried calling Arianna but she wouldn't answer. She was probably with Joe. I got ready for bed and had then had the best night’s sleep ever.
