Final track of Dance

These New Romantics are oh so boring
I could swear I've been there once or twice before
I should grow wings and just forget the club
You know the legends never wanted to be me
For too erratic to be O.K. so?
If you're concerned well I don't care
You play games, you play safe
Me I just sighed with relief

Matthew's mother. The change disturbs me
You've everybody's friend. Age, I suppose
Just like religion you're going nowhere
Like your so explicit clothes onto the floor
On those occasions when everything broke down
Including you and me
See the boy, see the girl
The exhibition now is over

  • @webbsfan1 ME TOO.

  • Its such a long time since i listened to this album, like a breath of fresh air.

  • The legendary ad libs on this are similar to what he does in concert these days. Esp at the end "like some streams, you know, down like boys, you are, I suppose..." etc.

  • I prefer Metal but this was a real surprise when i first heard it. He is right that the New Romantics are so boring....

  • This is actually quite different to Metal, almost like a second movement in a symphony starting with Metal.

  • one song on two albums??? where is mick karn to change the tone?

  • Sad thing is, Bowie "hated being compared to New Wave" yet he sold out when he made Let's Dance that sounded just like the bunch he hated. I'll give him props for getting Stevie Ray Vaughan, but without SRV, Let's Dance really blows.

  • @NeverGetOld2009 This is basically Numan's 'Teenage Wildlife' to the New Romantics, the same way Bowie sung Teenage Wildlife as an attack in Gary and the rest of the New Wavers

  • great gary numan his forever the best like discoenex.

  • "Moral", took the tune from Numan's 1979 song "Metal", changing its lyrics into an attack on the New Romantic movement.
