magdeburg is a city 1 hour and half hours (time by train) from Berlin. With a population approx: 229,000. With all tram lines converging in the center of town.

lack of people on trams: explanation: this was filmed either in the early morning (after 9 going to 12 pm) and then late at night. This was filmed on a Sunday... Also if you notice there seems to be not a lot of people in this city: not a lot of cars on the road nor people on the sidewalk.

  • Maine LIEBLING Stadt MAGDEBURG! 1971-72-ben egy évig Magdeburgban dolgoztam. Megis-

merkedtem egy kedves lánnyal és azóta sem hallottam róla. Szeretném megtalálni! Aki tud, kérem segítsen! Előre is köszönök mindent!. Name: Siglinda (LINDA) KEMPF. Geboren:Schwerin. zirka 1n 1953. Treffen: Magdeburg in 1971-72. Viel Grüsse: ERNŐ aus MISKOLC (Ungarn). HILFE danke!!

  • I´ve uploaded a Magdeburg tram video showing the situation on workdays. Feel free to post yours as a reply. ;-)

  • @gnossticc i think you will be able to figure that out when you get there... most likely it was coins (my memory is failing me right now about the machine and money situation about it).

  • @gnossticc Not silly at all. On each tram there is a machine (in the middle of the tram) a ticket machine. You go to the machine and you can press the button for english and there you pick out the ticket you want. So you get the tickets from a machine on the tram. Don't worry about the driver... just get on...

  • @timosha21 So you have better visited during the week because there are some nice old T4D/B4D, T6/B6 and B6 trailers on the lowfloor trains in service.
