The US interferes with Iraq for oil and puts bases on Saudi Arabia to protect the interests of the Sunni Saud ruling family that was terrified of the ordinary Shia majority who have been robbed of the oil funds while the Sauds enjoy billions. The US ousted the democratically elected leader of Iran in 1953 because he was a threat to their control of oil coming out of that country. Then the US put the puppet dictator Shah into power but the people kicked him out in 1979. The US should piss off.

Go Iran. Get whatever weapons you want. Iran is a threat to no one. Who have they invaded? No one. Who has the US invaded? Um, Vietnam, Grenada, Iraq, etc. Who has the US bullied? Just about every third world country on the planet. The US is again up to mischief on behalf of Israel. The US also knows that the oil reserves in Iraq that they so desperately want control over are under threat as long as neighbour Iran is engaged. And they can't get Iranian oil. So the US should just keep its hypocritical bullshit nose out of Iran. Afterall, it was the US that used the CIA to mobilise a coup against the democratically elected President of Iran because he dared to put a stop to the British oil company Anglo Iranian Oil (now British Petroleum) stealing oil and made them pay for it in full. It was the US that installed the Shah of Iran in 1954 who was not the peoples choice. Any wonder the Iranian Revolution happened. Any wonder 9/11 happened bc of Iraq.

The US government's foreign policy regarding Iran is completely misguided and wrong. Not only do the Iranians have the right to obtain nuclear weapons (a la Israel, US, Pakistan, France, Britain, China, Russia, North Korea, etc), but the Iranian people (and only the Iranian people) have the right to choose their government and determine their internal affairs. The US had a civil war. The US had slavery and segregation of blacks. It took the US years to sort out its' problems and democracy.

Whenever you put harsh sanctions on a nation to destroy their economy, a hardliner takes power because it drives the people to them...
