Searching for the Center of Creation:
In early December 2009 four explorers set forth on an expedition to find the Center of Creation ... and a little bit of Heaven. They climbed the "Golden Stairs" in the wilds of Big Sur. Old-timers had said it was named this... "because if you climb up there you will find a little bit of heaven." Esselen Indian legend has it that Pico Blanco was the center of creation — where this world came into being. This is the story of their quest.
