Its not about numbers, Old Trafford is proof of that, even Roy Keane admitted it when he went on about the prawn butty brigade.....It's about passion, and the Clarets fans are among the most passionate in football.
For the size of the town, population wise, Burnley has one of the best away followings in the football league...fact.
I think that's what gemmagemma6969 meant. And as for 5,000 a game on average lol you're way off, it's more like 11,000 not bad for a population of only 60,000 eh?

im a blades fan. burnley deserved to beat us at wembley but i think playoffs are unfair because we finnished 3rd and burnley finnished 5th so over 46 games we was the better team.

@brammersufc I think you were hard done by. Definitely had a top quality team. Players like Kilgallon and Walker have all moved on to premierleague sides but the playoffs makes it more exciting. The 2 auto teams are the ones who have performed best all season consistantly. The playoffs are for the ones that have hit forms in periods in the season. Also we beat you 3 times that season ;P but it's all starting again in August. Back to square one as we've been relegated. See you next season

We did deserve to win yes but the team isn't Owen Coyle FC! He had the trust to start players like Grezza and Carlisle that's why we got promotion! As a team and that's why Bolton will go down and we'll survive!
