"Pakistan's Message Received," Senator Lugar

In an exclusive interview with Ayesha Tanzeem of the Voice of America, Urdu Service, Senator Richard Lugar, the ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and the co-sponsor of the Kerry-Lugar-Berman bill said that the US understood the message Pakistan was trying to send with its tough response to the NATO air strike of last month. He said that both sides had complaints but it was time to move on. He also promised that he would fight against reduction in Pakistan's aid.
