This video will show you how to install a wood stove. This DIY video covers wood stove selection, stainless steel chimney pipe, roof and ceiling supports. Installing a wood burning stove is an excellent way to wean yourself off being on foreign and domestic oil. Wood is an excellent source of heat. Wood heat is very warm and cozy. Firewood heats twice, once when you cut and split and once when you burn it in your stove.

  • I cant tell you how much i appeciate your videos Cody great job brother

  • Love your videos Cody. You will need to place the roof flange UNDER the shingles or it will surely leak. Only the bottom few inches should be exposed on the top of a course of shingles. This should be done like any other flashing on a skylight, cheek, or chimney. Best of luck in your new place and keep the videos coming.

  • Outstanding info. I think you have a calling making instruction related videos. Enjoys all you put out. Thank you for taking the time.

  • pretty darn good job! a note: the old jotul wood stoves have an "unsafe" air intake systems. if it's anything like my jotul 602 at my ranch, there will be a direct open path from the fire box to the interior of your home. i've witnessed embers popping out through the intake holes. burnt a rug because of it. there's an easy fix... pull the intake apart, and cut a piece of round stainless screen with a hole in the middle, and insert it behind the front spin wheel. good luck!

  • Hooking a wood burning stove like that up to a heat exchanger makes a lot of sense where you simply use the heat to heat up a large volume of water and retain it making it into a central heating solution. A mass heating rocket stove also makes so much heat for a long time and burns so clean.

  • That wood stove really makes the room. Great video as always & now you have this job checked off just before winter. Take care & God bless

  • great job cody i just did a similar job myself this autumn, check it out if you get a chance " rayburn solid fuel range cooker" God bless !!
