But there are small errors; this is an incredibly difficult piece and I bet no one can play if perfectly. But Bream has my fav version of the BAgatelles; I greatly prefer the first recording he did.

Anyway; perfect is not human.

Nice to see it live here; so much more real than studio perfection. So expressive.

Bream is like the Hendrix of Classical guitar; as exciting as anyone.

@elvisPTpor What exactly do you think Julian Bream reads when he plays the lute? Tablature combined with time value notation works just as well as standard notation for fretted instruments.

The idea that Bream didn't like them seems crazy, and to me it's probably mega-bs. Watch the other video of him playing the bagatelle n.2, except from playing it wonderfully he really seems to enjoy it. I don't think he would fake it.

I have to say, I have never heard the story that Bream did not like the Bagatelles. He recorded the set twice, first on the 1973 record entitled 'Julian Bream 70s' and then on the 1981 record, 'Dedication'. An artist of this calibre and with his repertoire (Graham Wade's recent book gives many past programmes and his recorded repertoire, although just about the largest of any guitarist, did not come close to the size of his performance reperoire) would not record a piece he didn't like twice.

A very nice Bream upload thanks. As for some of the comments below it's disgraceful. I'm working on a guitar pro 5 score of the bagatelles. It will show you TAB and notes. Any one who wants to play classical in tab can just look it up on google don't feel pressured by others, music is about enjoyment. The bream not liking the Bagatelles(do not besmirch Bream). He performed them in front of Walton who felt Bream played them better then he had written them .Bream is the yard stick on bagatelles!

@emilhemlock why dont u get a teacher? u MUST find a GOOD teacher and a good teacher is not the mst expensive guy but the one who passes his ideas in a simple way to his student. i guess ur playing on a classical guitar right?? u see classical guitar is much more difficult to play and master than electric guitar or accoustic guitar and the music done for classical guitar is also much more complex so i bet u dont wanna see a tab for a classical guitar piece especially for this particular one xD
