A music video of Psalm 13 (How Long O Lord) complete with lyrics.
By Brian Doreksen and Daphne Rademaker from the album You Shine.
Edited by me for Dad's sermon :D
Clips from Passion of the Christ and all over Youtube.

How long O Lord will You forget me
How long O Lord will You look the other way
How long O Lord must I wrestle with my thoughts
And every day have such sorrow in my heart

Look on me and answer, O God my Father
Bring light to my darkness before they see me fall

But I trust in Your unfailing love
Yes my heart will rejoice
Still I sing of Your unfailing love
You have been good, You will be good to me

And yes, I own neither the audio nor the visual, no intention of infringing copyright laws, not for any personal gain...
and the rest of the usual copyright disclaimers.
Feel free to use this clip if need be.

  • Its emotionally moving music but remember not to get caught up in the place of the feeling- the psalmist expressed his feelings, but then he was quick to confess & stand on the Love of God ~with rejoicing & singing ~(in spite of it! & not sad songs either) which changes that "feeling". Live by the Word, not feelings. "When I sit in darkness- the LORD shall be a light unto to me" (Micah 7:8) Don't DWELL in & canonize the "valley of the shadow of death" - PASS ON THROUGH!

  • Well done!! Thank you for posting this!

  • @SlaughterMeister Not at all my friend. I respect your decisions.

  • @Kentheinfinite I think you're assuming I'm having a crisis of faith. I'm not.

I have chosen, willingly and without coercion, to not participate in a religion. When I say my faith was ruined, I don't mean that to sound as though I regret it, because I don't.

I do not believe in any gods. I am an atheist. As far as I (or anyone) can tell, the Christian god does not exist.

Maybe you're just attributing the amazing things that happened in your life to God. I used to do that, too.

  • @SlaughterMeister Well, I have experienced what you have man. Some part in my life. Then these amazing things happened that was all because of God.

  • @Kentheinfinite First, don't call it "the" faith as though it's the only one. There are and have been thousands of religions in human history.

My faith was ruined by my attempts to strengthen it. Reading scripture and exploring Christian doctrine with an open mind are the surest ways to be free of the religion. I was able to see past my indoctrination and realize how incredibly hateful and slow-witted it made me.

Christians are only good people insofar as their faith is not biblical.

  • @SlaughterMeister Lemme just ask you why? Why'd you stop the faith?

  • @Kentheinfinite Alright.

  • @SlaughterMeister Good sir. I am, and I'm keeping the faith brotha.

  • @Kentheinfinite Nope.

  • @SlaughterMeister So your not a Christian anymore?

  • If the entire Bible were like this, I would still be a Christian.
