@vention4wh I could not agree more. First we wake up, next we look at where we are, what we don't have and how much we don't know and we get scared. Then we buy lots of wheat, rice and beans and dry milk. Then we absorb lots of information, both useful and useless and we have to spend time discerning what is good and what is bad. Then we slip into the "lifestyle". You don't have to change your whole life, just add to it a different aspect. Living this way is great!

I feel your frustration, I live in a rural community that used to have neigbor togetherness-but not now all of that is gone. My neighbor tried to get to know some of the new neighbors by hosting a potluck in Oct. very few showed up. But this is a beginning. We are doing it again after Christmas. We need to rely on our little community when the SHIF happens. I will help my neighbor when the time comes and I hope others do the same. God bless!

Sorry to say Humanity is a Dog Eat Dog World with a thin covering of civilization, Am not saying it right its just the way it is and that's before the S##T hit's. But on the plus side i like your videos so keep up the good work and keep the faith some of us will get through this. All the best and see you on the other side.

Hey Doug, I agree with the sentiment. I am so annoyed with all the changes that You Tube did in the last 6 months, that I do not spend much time here anymore. Nothing against anyone, I just find it hard to navigate, I I kinda lost interest.

Great rant! You have summed up by last month's worth of feelings and thoughts. I have witnessed similar behavior issues discussed. I have been the one with the deer in the headlights expression. Their "paranoia", yet lack of action. It seems the only action some people can take is to "outdo others" with little regard to their own welfare. We are all in this together, let's work together or we have fallen into "their" trap... chasing our tails.

@katzcradul You only have 12 boxes of brownie mix? You know you can never have too much. In the event of a zombie apocalypse brownies could sustain life. But wait, zombies don't like brownies, that's right, they like brains.......nevermind.

@GoatHollow Honey, I know you weren't picking on me! I agree with what you said. I was just being funny. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to have it be like that. I tend to laugh at things when they are darkest, cause I figure if we don't laugh we will most assuredly cry. I don't know what went on lately, but I do know that those type of distractions take place a lot. If we are going to make this work, we will need to do it with peace and unity. No offence given and none taken. Keep it up!

I've been offline for a week and wow I'm shocked that our tight community would become so bitter. We all need each other to learn from and teach to. We all do it differently just think how boring the world would be if we all thought and acted the same. Everyone needs to take a breath and remember whats most important. Blessings!

I was going to mention prepping as a lifestyle in my next video. I haven't posted a video in a few weeks and people are beginning to ask. But I do these things everyday and have for a few years now and don't always think to have a camera. I think all videos are important when they are instructive. Cooking from preps is my interest and where I started and from there moved on to other things like water storage gardening and firearms...like you always say "We'll get through this" :)

grant vid thanks i understand your frustration god bless

good vid thx
I can hear the frustration in your voice and I can understand where you are coming from. I don't disagree with you on much of what you have said. I think we do spend a lot of time worrying about things that we cannot control instead of devising ways to avoid become a victim of those scenarios. Sometimes its good to vent. We all need to do it. But now I'm going to go cook some bacon and my rib roast ; ). Noreen

@atticus9799 Wasn't picking on you btw., Your videos have great value in teaching folks how to prepare foods from their storage... in ways that can add some quality of life to an otherwise dreary post shtf existence. My comment was based on my opinion, that too many of us fall back on that kind of stuff, to just throw something out there for a video. ;)
