Excellent execution of one of Galuppi's signatures arias and one of Farinelli's top hits! Invernizzi does wonderful trills and vocal runs, always very fast, clean and crisp.Just lately another manuscript of this same aria was found in the cathedral of Guatemala City under the title "Gira Volando La Sacra Esfera" about the birth of Jesus Christ. Glad to see renewed interest in great composers that fell in obscurity.

i agree but there is fast and fast ... if a singer cannot produce correctly all the note written in an aria and had to tricks or just quicly touch them . What the point to sing it at this tempo... Allegro has a very large nuance , so you can sing it a little slower and still be fast allegro..anyway that's dosent change that she is a great singer. But the nowadays i have the impression that the most important is how fast you can be vistuosic... The bartoli effect!

True, she misses a note at 5:20 but it's not a serious error at all: how many times do singers simplify arias? The idea of a slower tempo isn't good because the aria has a "meaning" only if sung with the correct tempo indication: this one was written to be fast and fast must be sung.

No. To have this crazy tempo and still perfect coloratura i see only Ann Hallenberg or Vivica Genaux... Dont misunderstand me, i have nothing against Invernizzi She is great but it's just true that the coloratura is not perfect , like at 5:20 it's the tempo of the maestro that i blame not herListen il ritorno di tobia it's the same , why not take it slightly slower to have this tempo..Marcon often do that , and often only hallenberg can manage it , like in the aria Sudó il guerriero.

Marcon take the tempo a little too fast . The result is that Invernizzi is not so precise in the coloratura. It was already the same thing for her in Haydn's Il Ritorno di tobia with Spering. I love crazy tempos but i prefer to hear all the notes written correctly done.
