  • LOL. So true ! I was thinking that the other day... NBC was in top form during the mid-1980s thru the 1990s, but has really fallen again.

  • @timtaylor2001 you are so right TimTaylor,i had hoped by now the reality tv bent would have flamed out, thank God for Me Tv and Antenna TV

  • @deckard97 All of the networks are in the crapper thanks to reality/competition/copycat shows.

  • @Merge98FM Yes, that's Luther Vandross.

  • @westholmes2001 I also forgot Quincy M.E. and Real People but other than that, it was horrible for NBC!

  • Is that Luther Vandross as the male lead on this jingle?

  • You can say what you will about the shows shown...but this is still one of the greatest promo things ever created.

  • NBC in 1980: Little House on the Prarie, "CHiPs", Diff'rent Strokes, The Facts Of Life, Hill Street Blues (came out in Jan. 1981), and SNL. Other than that, it was a boatload of crappy television!

  • Sure, they're proud that they're NBC. But that's also the reason they're always doing so horribly in the ratings: they care too much about quality, rather than pleasing the masses.

Not that I'm complaining, of course.
