This women's thinking is fascinating. U grew up in a household where the main breadwinner was a male commerce professor. He hated liberals, and eventually became a campaign manager in a provincial election - a hard lined far right wing party. He and his candidate lost, finished third. The winner was a female liberal. Waring has has achieved more in her life than he ever has. This is nice to see after growing up listening to him jeer and degrade women in the top ranks of politics and business.

I'm a man and I don't find her thinking scary. I think the potential of her work is also liberating and rewarding for men as much as women. I want my society, my government, and my employer to all recognize the value of my well-being, the subsistence work that must be done for me to exist, and the care work that I give and receive on a daily basis.

Marilyn Waring is so amazing. I can't believe there are so few videos of her on youtube. Absolutely fascinating and so well spoken. I've taken so 5 economics classes and all of them spoke of why GDP is a poor measuring tool but they never explained why, so it was very helpful to hear it from her. Thank you for posting this video!

This woman's thinking is so revolutionary for current world that it might be scary. Especially for men.
