Diddy Kong Racing Walkthrough Pt 70: Unlocking TT - Sherbet Island

Most of these races aren't bad either with the exception of Crescent Island. This level is a major pain in the ass. Tiptup and Drumstick (thanks to his strong boost ability) are the only character I can beat T.T. with in Crescent. Tiptup should be your main man, but if you can't do it, use Drumstick. He's harder to control, but his boost ability is very good. The small shortcut at the end is critical.

Whale Bay: 1:19.00 (unlock ghost) 1:13.11 (beat ghost)
Crescent Island : 1:39.00 (unlock ghost) 1:33.16 (beat ghost)
Pirate Lagoon: 1:34.00 (unlock ghost) 1:28.56 (beat ghost)
Treasure Caves: 1:10.00 (unlock ghost) 1:05.63 (beat ghost)

Better to use faster characters with the hoverboat since its easy to turn.. i got 1:05 with drumstick on the first race

any tips for the shortcut on crescent island, i only nail it 25% of the time. usually doing fast enough then stack right at aend of lap 3 :(
