@LalitaShaktas Cate Blanchett was nominated for Best Supporting Actress a year later.
I did like her performance, I thought it was really unique, but I would have gone with Amy Ryan.

i hate the devil wears prada i hate the fashion industry and movies about it and i think anne hathaway is a so-so actress (no offense to fans) mainly used for her beauty/looks (no offense to fans) yet meryl streep was incredible in that movie, her performance outstanding. everyone else nominated was great as well, has Judi won an oscar yet? she deserves one. helen was indeed great, Kate was great, i dislike cruz (no offense), Cate Blanchett should have been nominated for pulling off Bob Dylan.

I really liked Helen Mirren in Queen, but, well i think Meryl deserved it most!!! But you know, i cannot be objective because Meryl is my favourite actress, so i always see her acting better than anyone else's... But come on she rocked as Miranda!!! She made a complete personality and not just a strict boss, something very difficult i think. Her acting gave the deep meaning to this movie... Never mind though, she's close to win her 3rd oscar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
